Short version: Hobby Horse Arena has no account, advertising, analytics SDK, backend, or tracking. Your profile and fitness history stay on your iPhone.
Information stored on your device
The app stores the rider name you enter, avatar choice or imported image, hobby horse customization, preferences, completed workouts, Arena runs, points, streaks, challenges, and badge progress locally on your device using Apple platform storage. This information is not uploaded to us.
Camera and augmented reality
If you start Arena AR, the app requests camera access so ARKit can understand surfaces and place a virtual obstacle course. Camera imagery is processed by Apple frameworks on your device. The app does not record, retain, or transmit camera video.
Motion data
If allowed, Core Motion data is used during an Arena session to estimate jumps and movement. It is processed on device and is not transmitted to us. Guided workouts and the Arena course remain usable without motion access, but automatic jump scoring is unavailable.
The app writes coarse startup, recovery, navigation, and Arena-stage diagnostics to Apple's local device log. These diagnostics do not contain your profile, health values, camera imagery, motion samples, or room geometry, and the app does not upload them. A developer can inspect them only from a connected QA device using Apple developer tools.
Apple Health
Apple Health integration is optional. With your explicit permission, the app can read limited fitness context and write completed workouts and estimated active energy. Health data is handled through HealthKit, remains under your control, is not used for advertising, and is not sent to us. You can change Health permissions in iOS Settings.
Photos and sharing
If you choose a photo or Memoji for an avatar, the selected image is stored with local app data. Share cards are rendered on device and are sent only to the destination you choose through the standard iOS share sheet.
Notifications and Live Activities
Workout Live Activities and any local reminders are controlled by system permissions and app settings. We do not use push-notification tokens or remote notifications in version 1.
Payments
The app is sold through the Apple App Store. Apple processes the purchase. We do not receive or store your payment-card information.
Data collection and tracking
The app does not contain third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not sell personal information and do not track you across apps or websites.
Deleting data
You can reset workout progress from the app's settings. Deleting the app removes its local data, subject to normal device backups managed by Apple.
Support email
If you email hobbyhorsearena@tony.expert, we use the address, message, and attachments you send only to respond. Do not include medical, payment, or other sensitive information.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents and guardians should supervise use, especially physical activity and AR placement.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version and effective date will be published on this page.
